A Study Of Female Scholar Shu Shuyi In The Late Qing Dynasty

Shi Shuyi belongs to the first batch of female poet from the boudoir to the society when the late Qing Dynasty social transformation. Because the particularity of the life time, she is not only affected by the good traditional education, but also has the feminist ideology in the new era. Shi Shuyi’s special life experiences made her thought of modernity, and have many works. She is a female poet, a female educator, is the beach goers in emancipation era.This paper on the basis of previous studies, uses historical data and text as the center, comprehensive study Shi Shuyi’s life experiences, poetics, poetry themes, artistic features and classification, and her status and influence at the time of the social. The full text is divided into five chapters:In the first chapter, introduct the current research situation of female literature and female poets in the Qing Dynasty since twentieth Century, and on the basis of previous research, comprehensive study the research situation of Shi Shuyi, in order to further research Shi Shuyi and his works.The second chapter, study Shi Shuyi’s family life and writings. First of all, introduce the general situation of the Shi Shuyi family, pointing out the relationship between the literary attainment and family background and early education; secondly, introduct Shi Shuyi’s life experience. Her experiences is divided into three periods:the period of her tour with her father, the short period of marriage, the poor period in chongming; finally, sort the publication and edition books of Shi Shuyi.The third chapter, research Shi Shuyi’s poetic thoughts. Although Shi Shuyi did not have poetic works, the poetic ideas can get the view from the works of Qing dai gui ge shi ren zheng lue,Xiang hen yin cao,and Bing hun ge shi cun, especially Qing dai gui ge shi ren zheng lue, reflects the poet’s poetic thought more clearly. This chapter mainly instruct the view of the relationship of cai de,cai fu and the view of women.In this chapter, comparison the traditional view and Shi Shuyi’s view,in order to highlight Shi Shuyi’s view of poetics.The fourth chapter, mainly analysis Shi Shuyi’s poetry theme and category. According to Shi Shuyi’s life experience and the change of thoughts, Shi Shuyi’s poems can be divided into two periods. The early poetry theme, mainly described scenery, her marriage and life, show the life of happy and harmonious before her husband’s death; the creation theme in later poems, mainly described the feeling of season, missing the relatives, the friendship and the feeling of herself. During this period, the poet mainly expresses her inner pain, as well as the weak, and the helpless of not interested in stretchingThe fifth chapter, study on the artistic style of Shi Shuyi s poetry. Because Shi Shuyi’s poetry theme is different, her poetry can be divided into four styles.They are resentment pathetic, fresh and natural, vigorous, profound and forceful, including both traditional feminine beauty and the male poet masculine style.The conclusion part mainly describe the status and influence of Shi Shuyi in the society at that time and later, according to the existing historical materials and works of poetry. It states the reason that, because of her special contribution in the education, her literary attainments, advanced ideas of education, she has a very high social status in the whole of Chongming.
