On The Characterization In The Writing Of The Script

Characterization plays a vital role in the film and television scripts. In fact, Characterization is as important as the plot, the structure and the event in the film and television scripts. However,people always regard the successful characterization as the basic standard of great scripts.Through analyzing characterization in the classical film and television scripts, and combining the film script Memory is A Deserted Island, which is written by myself, this thesis goes to the detail analysis of how to create the characters in the film and television scripts from five aspects:depiction of character’s image, excavation of character’s social attributes, depiction and description of character’s spiritual world, construction of complicated and cubic character relations and development of characteristics and character’s destiny.
