Liang Tsongtai’s poetics had been more full and thorough discussed in the existing research, his translation also accepted widespread praise, while his poems had not received enough attention for the relative loss of its value and people often mention it roughly. This makes many researchers avoid talking poems and separate his poems from his poetics. Obviously, this approach is unfair for both poetics and poems.The poetry “ reed weed” not only pours out Liang Tsongtai’s most secret feelings in his heart, but also echoes his poetics consciously or unconsciously. Under the background of Anti-Japanese War, although this work presents the heterogeneous style, it has certain rationality and necessity. The poetics and poems tells the ontology that what poetry is called poetry, thus his poems distinguishes form those ” propaganda poems”“slogans poems” which excessively emphasis on inspiration. He tries to practice poem form personally in order to construct the blueprint and mode for poetry’s future development. Whatever his form practice is successful or not, but at least conveys that Chinese new poetry need to be corrected and explored in what aspects. For the journey towards modernization of new poetry, it provides the constructive significance.Liang Tsongtai’s symbol is based on philosophy and contains specific poems between China and the west. It is an indispensable element in any country and age and is beyond the scope of the French symbolism poetry. But the symbol doesn’t been built in his work” reed weed”, his poems turn to other path. The work also doesn’t carry or reveal world spirit. It doesn’t focus on vast universe. The thinking for individual and universe is just in order to gain relief from the universe, the core is still individual. And the individual isn’t harmonious with universe’s other things, but opposite and tense.The ”reed weed” partly deviates from his poetics due to the obvious imbalance between his poetics. On the one hand, to explore the poetry form is urgent and realistic at that time, on the other hand, his symbolism and world spirit are ideal pursuit, absence of realistic operability. In the form poetics, although content is as equally important as form, the content is in order to meet the needs of the form of development. Weather symbolic poetry or cosmic spirit, the pursuit of the core is intellectual, they are a kind of “ experience poetic”. For this, Liang Tsongtai mentions more than once, but they walk on the road more far of Yuan Kejia’s Chinese new poetry modernization. The purpose of Yuan Kejia’s poetic is more concentrated and specific than Liang Tsongtai’s. What’s more, Yuan Kejia’s poetic presents many subtle schemes. So his poetic gets more echo form the poets in the Southwest United University.
