Yin mountain is located in the middle of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It extends to the northwest of Hebei province in east and contains wolf hill, wula hill, Daqing hill, Huitengliang hill and Damaqun hill. With obvious climate feature, it is an important dividing line in the north of China. Although it is located in the frontier fortress, early in the pre-Qin period human activity is recorded here. During the warring states period, the central plains regime began to set up administrative divisions in Yin mountain. Minority regime and central plains regime waged wars for countless times to fight for the control of it. But at the same time, they also marry each other and merge together.Because of the special geographical location and complicated ethnic relations of Yinshan area, it became a place where frontier fortress poet like to intone in tang dynasty. Some write wars there and literates make contributions to the country with their lofty sentiments; some write the natural scenery of Yin Mountains and ethnic customs; some write border soldiers homesick and their wife’s complaints in boudoir. Yin shan poem are rich in content, with sincere emotion, and provide evidence for later history research.Yinshan poem belongs to the Frontier Poems of the Tang Dynasty, which has high artistic value. It boasts image of rich connotation, distinctive characters, sincere emotional expression and open and magnificent realm.
