For our human beings,with the dymanic change of the era, wandering has become a kind of inherent living condition.As the changing of the social formation, be reluctant to move from one’s native district and wandering has gradually evolved seek and refuge to some kind of mental life or emotion for the human beings,even those behavior may exist some contradictions.But with the development of the era,that imprint has become a inherent form of the art forms which include literature and the Film and Television Art.In the works of the famous film director Kitano Takeshi,we can find many different wandering styles which were specific expressed in his differentiated cinema aesthetics.The wandering styles in it was for it inextricably linked with some aspects of the Japanese culture.Those have reflected a kind of wandering motif in the national cultural context.Of itself,his films were inevitable arise character and image symbols related to wandering,which express a maverick existential consciousness,and constant accentuate in the differential social environments and cintexts.In his works,not only including the abundent expression of all kinds of wandering motifs,but also including the deep analyze of the wandering forms and its formation,and the concrete display in the len language. In a manner of speaking,it is because the consequential expressing of the wandering motif that makes Kitano Takeshi’s films have more practical and era significances.This thesis starting with the treatise of the wandering motif in Kitano Takeshi’s films,analyzing its background of creation,combineing with the unique Japanese culture and literary history.The wandering samurai’s bushido spirit is also closely related to the Japanese’s cultural tradition of wandering. Later on,it formed a distinctive literary form,the Wandering literature.The famous Japanese haiku poet Matsuo Basho and the famous writer Kawabata Yasunari represented the Japanese wandering literary style.And because the motif has a closely connection with the theme,there is a dialectical and unification relationship between them.The motif recurred in different works,and the theme based on th motif, add emotional colors in it and formed different view types.Because motif is the smallest narrative unit,so a theme needs several motifs to express it together.It reflect to Kitano Takeshi’s films represented as the seek of family affection,love and moral.And the imagery signs appeared in different works also reflected to wandering motif and the themes.so in the second chapter, distinguish and contact these two concepts and dissertate upon the wandering motif with a series of different theme images which can be expressed in Kitano Takeshi’s films.In the third chapter,analyze the wandering motif as a developing concept,from the cause tofinality,thus formed a different inductive classification with the films of Kitano Takeshi.The change of emotion,faith and social order is the main reason which makes people set foot on wandering.For the external morphological and the inherent willing,we can divide them into external wandering and inherent wandering,self escape and passive exile.It also because of the television works’ practical significances reflect in its expression of the social value,so I dissertate the expression of the wandering motif’s intrinsic significance separately in the forth chapter,and combines the philosophy to analyze the wandering motif’s social value.With a comparative analysis of the wandering styles between Kitano Takeshi and other similar film directors, thus come to the conclusion about the inspiration and guidance significance to our country’s similar films.
