This report examines Chapter Six, Seven and Eight of Handbook of World Englishes by Andy Kirkpatrick. The study of the World Englishes holds prominent significances to understanding the english variants, teaching english and studying the history and evolution of languages. The author concluded the text features of related writings and discussed the problems during translation, such as misunderstanding and equivalent-expression. The author also proposed relative translation strategies and methods from certain perspectives such as the word and the sentences.During the translation,in order to make the translation influent, the conversion, extension and inversion were used. This practice provides methods and references to translation of the academic writings of liguistics. It also offers useful materials to the theoretical basis of domestic World Englishes and the variant studies.
