Seicho Matsumoto is the earliest founder of the Japanese social detective fiction,and he plays a tremendous role in the development of the detective fiction.Seicho emphasizes criminals’ psychology description, and puts the criminals’ motives——the social factors on the important place. Especailly,there arestudy valuesb both in the socail problems reflexed by the female criminals and themselvs.They not only reflect the women’survival dilemas, but also embody the progress of victims turning to killers,which almost belongs to the female criminals.What’s more,we can see Seicho’s views of women from them.This paper intented to analyse the universality and individuality,creation reasons and the pritical significance of the female criminals in Seicho’s detective fictions,by combining Seicho’s life expriences,creation expriences and the postwar period and so on.Concretely speaking,the first part researched Seicho’s life exprience.The second part analysed text and unsrambled the female criminals.The third part put the criminals in the postwar period to research the Japanese women’s survival conditions.Aiso,this part summarized the creation factors especailly the social problems through the conditions.At last, the forth part analysed the pritical significance of the female criminals, including the new characters of the female criminals in the films and dramas.Besides,this part also researched the creation conditions of the writers influenced by Seicho.
