| From late Qing to early Republic of China, “The Pax Sinica” the traditional Chinese concepthad gradually replaced by the concept of state coming from the west and became another perspective when people view China and others. “China”, which successive outreached with the core of Han culture and formed in history, was beaten in the contest with the “Nationstate”,the national concept of the western.Meanwhile,China shrouded in the shadow of war in the 1930 of the 20 th century.Japan threw out the so-called “The non Chinese theory” to break down the legality of China as a unified state.In this situation,placed in front of scholars in the Republic of China’s top priority was to set up as a unified nation state of legality and rationality and accelerate the integration of the border.Based on the text study on frontier research publications in the period of the Republic of China,this article studies the formation of modern Chinese from the perspective of construction and the national unity of the country.The scholars in the period of the Republic of China completed the construction of China through the re-interpretation of history、culture and the world cares. The formed China had a clear state sovereignty、clear boundaries and three elements of national concepts of Western countries completely.Meanwhile,scholars in the period of the Republic of China put forward a series of proposals for integration and national cohesion from the perspective of frontier and the nation state to unite the people to face the national calamity together.The research of frontier of 30’s and 40’s in the 20 th century is a big stage.On this stage,different research groups in border and the publications founded by them promoted their views on nation states and frontier construction.Different research methods and perspectives provides a footnote for the view of “China from the frontier”.Therefore,it is necessary to contrast their similarities and differences. |
