Globalization is constantly advancing.With the requirements of the socialization of knowledge and cultural diversity,each country shows their national characteristics of culture through a variety of ways.As an unique art form,animation naturally becomes one of the important ways of cultural output. Japan,named "Hollywood Movie",always shows the world the unique national characteristics of animation brands with its unique creative approach, clever plot ideas and excellent post-production. However, the Japanese animation also inevitably be limited constraints of the national culture, geography, resources and other factors, therefore, absorbing foreign culture to seek new improvement is the only way for the development of Japanese animation. The author selects "Japanese animation " for the study, and intends to discuss it through the following ninth sections. The first part is about the interpretation of the connotation of the term "localization",through which,the meaning of "localization" in the text could have a more clear understanding; the second part discusses the main reason of Japanese animation absorbing foreign elements; through several typical cases,the next four parts analyze the localization of foreign elements in Japanese animation from content, form, cultural and production aspects respectively.The seventh part concludes the princples of foreign elements in the Japanese animation;the eighth part discusses the positive significance of the "localization" of the foreign elements for the development of Japanese animation and points out the existing problems in it;the last part concludes the influence of absorption of foreign elements in the creation of Japanese animation and its inspiration to the development of Chinese animation.In addition,this part also makes a certain depth of thinking about our country’s animation to absorb and to transform foreign elements in a better way,to create a mature Chinese animation brand.
