This paper is the Republic of China on the women dance education research.Under the statute of Chinese traditional thought,the body language of Chinese female is a metaphor for their social and cultural status.As a kind of body language, dance is the most typical embodiment in social arts.It shows us different forms of a woman’s body under the discipline of culture. The Republic of China(1912-1949), which took up a special position in the process of China’s historical development.In this period,about 37 years,the body language of Chinese female changed very significantly.During this period, the western culture flooded into China, and church schools, which managed by western missionaries were their main means of cultural invasion.Meanwhile, the female’s church education appeared in China. The course in female church college is a critical measure to rebuild Chinese female’s body language during the period of Republic of China.Moreover, this course also represented the changes and new morphological characteristics of female body language under its education.As a model university which made Chinese female be higher educated during the period of Republic of China, Ginling Female University made a way for the knowledge exploration of women based on its educational philosophy and education thought.Meanwhile, the course that attached to the sports department in Ginling College made our point of view be leaded to various of field in addition to the education, and figured out the impact that Ginling College had on rebuilding the figure of Chinese traditional women and the liberation of the ideology, and the enlightenment to today’s dance education.This essay will be divided into three parts:Firstly, analysis the traditional Chinese female body shape and ideology, and the impact that western civilization and the female church education had on China’s traditional women’ education to explain the background of the founding of Gingling College by. Secondly, analysis the background of Dance course, the structure of the teachers of the course, the graduate courses, fate and social influence to reveal the method of education and forms that dance education of Ginling College used.Thirdly, use the body linguistics as the breaking point to analysis, summary, and induction the impact that the dance course of Ginling College had on Chinese women liberation of the body and consciousness awakening, and the revelation of the modern dance education.
