In recent years, the South Korean TV series have been popular in Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States. As a mass art, it has profound culture and sophisticated production. "Korean wave" has been widely spread and has the great influence in the world, especially the youth idol drama. The present South Korea youth idol drama updates constantly, which has great impact on audience’s consumer behavior, values, etc in China. And the number of the audience is constantly growing. Therefore, this article takes Chinese audience of South Korea youth idol drama as the research object. After investigating the Chinese audience of the South Korea youth idol drama, it studies the relationship between the Chinese audience and the South Korean youth idol drama, from the perspectives of audience’s demands and South Korea youth idol drama text creation. This article focuses on the audience and analyses the satisfaction of audience’s demands which offered by the South Korea youth idol drama. It has a certain guiding significance to the development of the Chinese youth idol drama.This paper has six parts. The introduction part mainly elaborates literature reviews about the South Korea youth idol drama. On this basis, it points out that the research significance and innovation of this paper is making a comprehensive analysis of South Korea youth idol drama audience in China by the social investigation, and reading the text from the Angle of audience. Then it grasps the audience watch demand in China. First of all, the first chapter defines the South Korea youth idol drama. Then, it analyses the current transmission situation of the South Korea youth idol drama in China. And it points out that South Korea youth idol drama can spread widely in China in addition to the South Korean government’s support for cultural industry, cultural similarities and differences between the two countries and the development of network technology. Then, it points out the basic reason why the South Korea youth idol drama has been widely spread is that it values and satisfies the audience’s demands. The second chapter mainly investigates and analyses the Chinese audience of the South Korea youth idol drama, with the method of questionnaire. It sums up the basic Chinese audience features of the South Korea youth idol drama from gender, age, culture level, occupation, income situation, watch the way and watch state, etc. It also interprets the motivation of Chinese audience, and feedback on South Korea youth idol drama. The third chapter uses the theory of reception aesthetics and narratology to interpret the text creation of the South Korea youth idol drama, from the perspective of audience. According to a series of the South Korea youth idol drama, it analyses the features of the theme selection, narrative art and characterization. Then it sums up the artistic elements of South Korea youth idol drama attract Chinese audience, which are diversity of subject matter, by affection and moving narrative theme, image of twists and turns a complete narrative plot, characters, etc. The fourth chapter discusses the multiple identities of South Korea youth idol drama audience in China. It highlights that when the audience is watching the South Korea youth idol drama, he can not only satisfy the inner pursuit of perfect body and beautiful feelings, but also get a pleasing musical aesthetic experience. As a consumer, an appreciator and a student, Chinese audience can achieve the goal of self construction and self-perfection. The last part is conclusion. On the basis of summarizing the full text, it analyzes the problems existing in the current situation of the development of domestic youth idol drama, such as lack of innovation, low level of production, low quality of the actors, and it also points out that Chinese youth idol drama still need further improvement in the script, actor training, post-production, etc.
