On The Music Of Bai Juyi 's Poems

The Middle period of Tang Dynasty has experienced a fierce changing,although it is relatively short in history,however,it has a special and important significance in culture and history. As one of the prestigious poets in Tang dynasty,Bai Juyi’s has almost experienced the entire middle period of the Tang dynasty,and that made him not only a literary world leader, but also an accomplished musician.Because of his numerous poems,which even to won the champions in Tang dynasty,as well as his open horizon varies from folk music up to court music,therefore his music poems has an important influence and position in the research of ancient literati music.His production reflects literati music ideas of Tang dynasty as well as the feature of social music culture in this period.At present,there only exits little research in the developmen of prosperous degree between Chinese and barbarians foreign nature that lives in northwest of China,besides,there always exist dispute. This paper aims to make some efforts to solve the above problems by the research of Bai Juyi’s music poems in musicology aspect,and make a new attempt in research of Bai Juyi’s music poems at the view of multi-angle and multi-level characters.To describe it specifically,research idea is:first,sort out the Bai Juyi’s poems using literature research method,and then analyze multiple identities and space he lived at the reference of "sociology" view, therefore examine the prosperity of music as well as its influence between Chinese and barbarians.Structure of this paper is divided into introduction, body and conclusion three parts.The first part of introduction mainly relates to the selected topic significance,the research status,research methods and contents.The second part is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is about the objective presentation of information,which is to sort out materials related to music from Bai Juyi’s poems;The second chapter,based on the materials of first chapter,is to sort out the music data by social space(court,literati,folk and religious);The last chapter is the concluding chapter, by the presentation and analyze as well as interpretation of first two data of chapters,return to the core problem to be solved by the thesis, that is to find out the difference of music recognition between Chinese and barbarians through Bai Juyi’s music poems in Tang dynasty.The third part is the conclusion.This part is to generalize and summarize the features of music between Chinese and barbarians reflected by Bai Juyi’s music poems.
