The bamboo slips discovered in the ancient tomb of Han Dynasty in Zhangjiashan in1983 is a milestone in the history of archaeology. Through the study of the conditions of using characters, we can not only find out the developing rules of Chinese characters, but also acquire an important reference to the research of the history of Chinese phonology.Based on this, systemic investigation and detailed classification of the interchangeable characters, the ancient-modern characters and the variant forms of characters in Zhangjiashan are done in this paper. And then we get 354 groups interchangeable characters, 64 groups variant forms of characters, and 32 groups wrong characters. In the chapter of the interchangeable characters, we categorize them according to the corresponding relationship, glyph relationship and phonological relationship of the borrowed character and the original character. Also, the ancient phonetic phenomena both initial and final shown in the interchangeable characters are studied to verify or correct some previous conclusions. In the chapter of the variant forms of characters, the heterogeneous characters are analyzed by the similarities and differences of formation.Among them, phonetic variant characters reside majority. In the chapter of the variant wrong characters,we can find that relative to the interchangeable characters and the variant forms of characters, absolute number of the wrong characters is little.
