A Study On The Geographical Distribution Of Tourism Resources In Chongqing

This article,basing on the data of local chronicles,tour handbooks and travel notes which come from the Republic Chongqing,taking the national standards GB/T 18972-2003 as classified standard,counts and gets the amount of tourism resources of the Republic Chongqing.After analyzing and concluding the tourism resources’ distribution of the Republic Chongqing in time and space from the two perspectives of historical geography and tourism geography,the writer has a conclusion:the Chongqing tourism resources of the Republic has a feature of large amount and abundant types which are mainly construction facilities and land scenery.With time evolution,under the function of tourist activities,the Republic Chongqing’s tourism resources has experienced a development that expands from urban city to the downtown cities in space.In addition,its type structures vary more and more thus become rich. Before 1930,the tourism resources were mainly in Ba Xian County(including Chongqing City) and focused on traditional famous historic and cultural sites recorded in the local chronicles.While after 1930,the number of tourism resources in travel notes had a growing tend and those resources on the suburbs were exploited gradually which has formed a scale.The surrounding districts of Chongqing,such as Jialing River Gorge of Beibei,Jinfo Mount of Nanchuan and Dazu Carvings,became the focus of investigating tourism under the background of mass construction.The distribution characteristics of the Republic Chongqing tourism resources are as follows: Firstly, the resources are mainly distributed in areas with abundant economy and cultures,like Chongqing city,Baxian,Beibei,Jiangjin and so on.Secondly,the old scenic spots die out while new spots emerge constantly as time flying.Beibei Gorge construction,south and north hot springs,Jinfo Mount of Nanchuan became new tour destinations.Thirdly,The tourism resources distribute along the roads and rivers just like dotted line and band with centered in Chongqing City.The distribution of tourism resources is closely related with Chongqing’s geographical environment,historical culture and economical development condition.
