Non-active service civilian faculty is an important part of faulty members in military academies. On the basis of summarizing past research bibliography of job involvement and job satisfaction of active service civilian faculty, this paper takes non-active service civilian faculty as the object of study, analyzes the general status quo of their job involvement and job satisfaction, probes into the differences in demographic variables, and researches the relation between them.This research adopts questionnaire method, based on investigation of about 300 non-active service civilian faculty members in Beijing, Xi’an and Bengbu, it draws conclusions:1. Job involvement and job satisfaction of non-active service civilian faculty members are at intermediate level.2. There is no distinct difference of job involvement and job satisfaction in sex, age and academic degree.3. There is no notable difference of job involvement in marital status, but job satisfaction of the unmarried is higher than that of the married.4. Job involvement and job satisfaction of those who takes teaching as an ideal profession is much higher than that of those who have no choice.5. The higher job satisfaction, the more work effort. And their job satisfaction can serve as the predictor of their job involvement.
