With the implementation of <Regulations on civilian personnel in the PLA>,civilianpersonnel system has formally been established in the PLA. Civilian personnel system is theresult of the reform of the army and cadre system in the new situation in the word, and it is animportant measure for deepening the construction of our military talents. Civilian personnel inthis thesis, who have obtained the qualifications and corresponding duties, are mainly engagedin the position of teach&research in military academy. Civilian personnel are also known asnon-active civilian faculty.Since the implementation of the civilian regime, it has played a very good role inpromoting teaching quality in military academies. With the growing number and increasingproportion of civilian personnel, the management needs to understand and grasp the status oftheir work. Hence, this thesis chooses to do research on the job satisfaction of civilianpersonnel and aims to know their current overall job satisfaction and main influencing factors,as well as to offer measures for increasing their job satisfaction which are expected to becomereferences for decision-making in the relevant departments of the military academies.Compilation of job satisfaction scale of civilian personnel is based on literature analysisand semi-structured interviews. This study shows the good reliability and validity of the scale.On this basis, a survey was conducted to144civilian personnel from three military universitis.The thesis analyzed the data using SPSS18.0statistical software, and drew the followingconclusions:(1) The job satisfaction is composed of eight dimensions which are respectively named asthe self-actualization, professional identity, job tasks, wages and welfare, office conditions,interpersonal relationship, system of education, leadership and management.(2) Civilian personnel is relatively satisfied with the overall work situation.(3) Gender, age, seniority, education of civilian has a significant effect on job satisfaction.(4) Eight dimensions were significantly related to overall job satisfaction;“thedevelopment of space" and the overall job satisfaction is the highest correlation.According to the resulting data of questionnaire investigation, the thesis proposes5measures to enhance the degree of job satisfaction of Civilian personnel in militaryacademies,such as perfecting the civil servants system,strengthening the communicationmechanism, paying attention to the development of ways, improving the occupation identity,perfecting salary system and so on.
