We have entered the era of Internet. The organic combination of Internet and thefight against corruption has given rise to the Anti-corruption Via Internet (AVI) inwhich the most typical behavior is to expose corruption online, expexting to catch theattention of anti-corruption organizations to investigate and punish corruption. Thereare two types of AVI, one is to report corruption via official websites, the other is toput up posts in unofficial websites such as BBS and twitter. It is fair to say that AVI has played a positive role in anti-corruption andpromoted fighting against corruption into a new stage. But it also brings someproblems like rumors, cyber manhunt. There are four fundemantal principles of AVI:public trust, convenient operation, transparency and effectiveness. By investigatingsuccessful cases about both official and unofficial AVI, we could draw a roughpicture about the development path of AVI. The performance of DisciplineCommittee is also worth noting.Without the correct use of official channel of AVI, the regulating and guiding ofunofficial channel of AVI, the supporting mechnism and the interaction betweenonline reporting and offline inspecting, there will be no scientific development of AVI.It is believable that the AVI will become better along with the development ofinternet.
