The Historical Status Of Chinese Migrant Workers

Migrant workers are a special group of China’s reform and opening up process, they made an indelible contribution to China’s economic development. They made a lot of sacrifices but rarely got. They thrifty, simple, kind, seems to be no grand ideals and aspirations, but they think their own easy life, at the same time, support from the entire country. Social stability and harmony is essential for reform continued further down, the conditions of migrant workers in China to maintain social stability and harmony is most important. When the time of this reform go into deep water, we should focus on understanding the historical status of migrant workers.This group of migrant workers generated in China’s modernization, due to the transfer of rural labor to urban population. The generated of migrant workers has its particularity, it is practiced with our socialist market economy system and Chinese characteristics. On the transfer of labor, all the countries in the world will have a similar social phenomenon in the process of modernization, but Chinese historical status of migrant workers in China’s modernization development, has its special importance. Correct understanding of this issue is necessary prerequisite of understanding that we correctly treat and solve many social problems. To solve this problem, you need to stand in the height of world history, both draw on some of the historical experience of other countries, but also pay attention to China’s actual situation. In this paper, the method of historical materialism to inspect migrant workers is trying to make an objective assessment of the historical status of migrant workers. There are currently many scholars focus on research of migrant workers from the perspective of humanistic concern, from the perspective of human freedom, the right to look at migrant workers, their concerns emotion is good, but for some ahistorical understanding of the issues in practice on may be counterproductive. Only put the migrant workers into the historical process of China’s modernization seen, we can obtain the objective of this group and impartial understanding.The results of this study:Chinese migrant workers made a significant contribution to the country’s modernization, and they also bear a larger sacrifice on the distribution of benefits; their interests at the expense of developing countries is described by a modern world "depriving farmers". The common performance prevalent in China’s specific conditions, and therefore have a certain historical inevitability; a humanitarian point of view to understand the historical stage of migrant workers must be sacrificed in the interests of the problem, not simply be regarded as discriminatory national policy subjective. From the history of modern China, we should develop a whole to understand the contributions and sacrifices of migrant workers, which, while making full recognition of their significant contribution to sacrifice their interests can make a division of the historical range.
