To a certain degree, urbanization is the product of the rural economic and social development. And it is also the process of the population constantly moving to the urban areas. As a historical process, urbanization is not only the changes of the economic structure and the mode of production, but also the process of the city civilization and the urban consciousness. With the speeding up of urbanization in our country, it emerges a new social group——"peasants". A large group of peasants moved to towns. Since their identities, cultural levels, the economic environment around them and their living patterns have great changes, they may feel difficult to adapt to the rapid urbanization. The attachment to the traditional moral elements and the yearnings to emerging culture, have been the major conflict of their moral life. In the face of the current urbanization, who are the key groups of moral construction of towns? Where to start the moral education of the peasants? And what are the methods of moral education? Combined with these problems, this article foucses on the moral adaptation of peasants. It is also discusses the moral education of the peasants according to the two mentioned cultural belifes above. And on this basis, the author puts forward tentative answers to the future of the farmers’moral education.The introduction describes the background and significance of this topic. And it also summarizes the former achievements about the moral education of peasants and introduces research methods and innovation of this research.The first chapter expounds the related theories about the moral adaption during the process of urbanization. It includes three sections. The first section, the auther elaborates the concepts of moral adaption, which includes moral adaption、peasants.In the second section, expounds the related theories about the moral adaption including the integration theory, the marginal theory, the cultural transformation theory and the cultural adaptation theory. In the third section, the characteristics of land-lost farmers. The second chapter elaborated the ethics basis of moral education and farmer education, which includes three sections. The first section introduces the unique value of the development of small towns; The second section expounds the village ethics and urban civilization is the ethics foundation of farmer education of small towns; The third section introduces the cultural background of the moral education of small towns and the positive impact on the farmers’moral education.The third chapter is a case study which is carried on in a small town of Jiangsu province. Through the typical cases of peasants in the small towns, the auther describes the changes of the farmers’moral life. It includes three sections. The first section introduces background information of Daqiao Town; The second section conducts example analysis from three dimentions which are morality and emotion、moral behavior and habits、beliefs and values. The third section analyzes the factors according to the investigation, which includes the object and subject factors of the peasants, the land acquisition time, the community culture and the community education. The fourth chapter discusses four adaptation ways of the land-lost as well as the reference and enlightenment to foreign countries. The fifth chapter is the moral anticipation of the peasants. They are seeking for moral beliefs, the integration of local culture and the searching of scientific approaches.
