Study On The Transformation Of Coal Resource - Based Cities From The Perspective Of Scientific Development

Transformation of resource-based cities，as a universal issue, had given rise towidespread concern in various countries. China, one of the world coal producingcountries, has more than60typical coal resource-based cities which have made certaincontribution to industrial system construction and economic development of New China.Coal resource-based cities have gradually lapsed into a predicament in recent years,however, which seriously affects the local and nationwide social stability and economicdevelopment. Therefore, economic transformation and sustainable development of coalresource-based cities, will be the core of China’s economic and social development in along period afterwards.This article, considering the reality of Qitaihe City, provides an overall analysis ofthe basic problems in the coal resource-based cities from the perspective of scientificdevelopment concept. It lists the advantages of these cities, and then puts forwardcountermeasures to transformations of these coal resource-based cities. Thus it will helpsolve the economic and social sustainable development problems of coal resource-basedcities, and explore for development and revitalization of Heilongjiang Province and evennationwide coal resource-based cities.
