Japan and India are the two great nations that cannot be ignored in Asia. In thepast20th century, Japan-India relation was influenced by the international situation.Itsdevelopment was changeable ceaselessly.After entering the21st century, the cold-warstruction collapsed,much estrangement was broken, and new opportunities were givento the Japan-India relationship. A lot of common benefits between the two countriesgreatly boosted the bilateral relation.The two countries’ high-levelvisits,economy,trade,and the cooperation in the fields of security and energy havedeepened and expanded.According to this,this article analyzes the development of Japan-Indiarelationship at the21stcentury from four aspects including the political, economic,military, energy and environment.This article will use the same and different benefitsbetween the two coutries’ strategies as the main clue, to discuss the cooperation indifferent fields between the two countriess. The development of bilateral relations wasinfluenced by many complicated factors. This article discusses the cause ofdevelopment of the relationship from the international pattern, power factors,domestic politics and leaders factors, and the features of the development of bilateralrelations.The development of bilateral relations was impacted the region, theneighboring countries and both themselves.China should not only pay attention to thedevelopment trend of Japan-India relations, but also actively develop the bilateralrelations of Sino-Japan and Sino-India, to strengthen friendly relations andcooperation with neighboring countries, as well as deepen regional cooperation.
