After the mid-Tang Dynasty, the Maritime Silk Road gradually replaced the Silk Roadon land. Song Government promoted the development of maritime trade for the area ofthe Pacific and the Indian Ocean. Thus, the Maritime Silk Road became the main channelof foreign trade and was at its height.As Maritime Affairs set up in the coastal city, strictly controlled and effectivelymanaged the foreign trade business, and the city ship income has become an importantsource of revenue of the Song Dynasty. In order to attract foreign investors, the SongDynasty adopted a series of preferential measures and established a set of internalincentives. In those foreigners concentrated gathered cities, such Guangzhou, Quanzhou,set aside a certain area of the region for alien areas one Fan Fair to ensure that propertyand personal safety of foreigners in China.South to Guangzhou, north to Wusong, a number of foreign trade ports on the longcoastline played the great role of coastal cargo distribution center and the window offoreign affairs. East-West traffic is flourishing, overseas businessmen around the worldflocking to and from the Chinese coastal ports, the large-scale maritime trade activities onthe Maritime Silk Road not only linked and promoted the prosperity of the regionaleconomy, but also brought a colorful exotic to the coastal ports.Song then had the world’s most advanced navigation equipment, waterways. Advancednavigation and shipbuilding technology support the development of the Maritime SilkRoad in Song.There has been further expansion and progress in the Song Dynasty, Chinahas been able to regularly ship voyage to the Red sea and the Gulf of Aden to East Africa.Dashi (Arab) was the most frequent trade nation at that time.After the end of the Cold War, the international community paid a lot of attention to thegradual revival of the Silk Road. Since2013, China proposed one belt one road strategy,focusing on "five connection", actively seeking to understand and participate along thecountry, taking advantages of this rich historical and cultural heritage, to achieve mutualbenefit and win-win situation among those nations.
