Since the independence of the five Central Asian countries in the early 1990 s,the diplomatic relations between China and Central Asian countries have continued for more than 20 years.They have made remarkable achievements in many fields,but at the same time there are many deficiencies.The “Silk Road Economic Belt” proposed by China in recent years has important influence on the relationship between China and Central Asian countries.This paper compares the “Silk Road Economic Belt”with the specific foreign policy of China during the period before and after the proposal of the “Silk Road Economic Belt”.This article analyzes the adjustments and motives of China's foreign policy toward Central Asia under the background of "Silk Road Economic Belt",and then elaborates the challenges and countermeasures of China's foreign policy in Central Asia.Earlier,China and Central Asian countries shared common interests in regional security issues including the crackdown on the "three forces," and conducted fruitful cooperation through the SCO platform;they also achieved good geographical advantages through economic and trade exchanges.development of.The proposal of co-constructing the “Silk Road Economic Belt” proposed by China in 2013 is a rare opportunity for China and Central Asian countries to bring about further improvement in the friendly cooperation and economic exchanges between the two sides.In this context,China's foreign policy toward Central Asia has also been adjusted accordingly in many aspects such as politics,economy,security and culture.The content of this paper is divided into four parts: The first chapter makes a comprehensive review of the diplomatic relations between China and Central Asia before the "Silk Road Economic Belt" initiative was proposed,and based on this review,it points out that China's foreign policy in Central Asia exists.Inadequacies.The second chapter mainly discusses the status and significance of Central Asia in the construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt",including the concept and connotation of the "Silk Road Economic Belt",the relationship between the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and Central Asia,etc.content.The third chapter mainly discusses China's adjustment of its foreign policy in Central Asia under the background of the “SilkRoad Economic Belt”,including the motives,goals,and specific contents of China's adjustment of diplomatic affairs in Central Asia after the “Silk Road Economic Belt”was proposed.Detailed discussion and analysis.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the challenges and countermeasures of China's foreign policy in Central Asia.Challenges include the challenges within the countries of Central Asia and the challenges of foreign powers.China should take steps to improve the relevant mechanisms of the SCO,further strengthen cooperation with Central Asian countries,build safe communities together with Central Asian countries,and interact with big countries.To meet the challenges faced by China's foreign policy in Central Asia.
