Evaluation And Reflection On The Service Of Orphans And Disabled Children In C Village Foster Point From The Perspective Of Social Ecosystem Theory

Currently, there are about8.88555million orphaned and disabled children in our country, and this datum is still on increase, the traditional welfare house care way cannot fully promote children’s rights. With the gradual influence of the western foster care pattern and the ideas of modern children welfare, family care have been accepted by mainland China, many cities have tried foster care practice and achieve some good results, whereas there still be varies issues in much need of solution, such as unimproved law, lack of social support and professional services.Writing paper use the theory of social sociology as basis, take C foster care center of N city social children welfare house as case research, assess in detail children’s welfare home, family and living community systems, thus analyze from the case its practical experiences are as follows:actively take in social workers, participate in professional training, establish foster care school, and good management, then analyze the problems are lack of scientific assess method and public resources, social workers cannot effectively play their roles, and problems in education and correcting children’s psychological and behavior issues. Also in this paper, we analyze and reflect social workers’ services as follows:set up effective assess standard and use social work theories to improve foster care, promote the connection between case work and case management, change service ways and carry out more professional team work, set up parents supporting team and cooperate with social organizations.We put forward system improved strategies as follows:improve the related laws and systems, promote the professionalization of rural family foster care, set up assessment system, strengthen training to keep in pace with international level, take in more resources from the whole society, and use modern informational technology to publicize family foster care, so as to ensure the rights and benefits of the orphaned and disabled children. At last, we conclude that the lack of scientific assessment method and the insufficiency of social workers’ professional skills are the main issues of family foster care, we should use social ecological theory to improve our work, and this paper still remains some deficiencies such as we need to do more practice to make more practical solution and need to make further comparison on family foster care among more cities in mainland China.
