A Study Of Deng Xiaoping 's Thought Of Powerfulness

Power thought is the strategic concept and practice guidelines to make a countryprosperous. This thought is an important content of Deng Xiaoping’s theory. China’sreform and opening up has entered the second decade of this century, and as a part ofthe Deng Xiaoping’s theory, the thought of power is still the theoretical basis andaction guide nowadays which can guide and accelerate our country’s modernizationconstruction to catch up with the medium capitalist countries in the middle of thiscentury. Guided by the Mao Zedong thought of power thought, Mr. Deng combined thepower thoughts of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin with China’s practice of socialistconstruction. After summarizing the development experience and lessons of ourcountry and some other socialist countries in depth, Mr. Deng’s power thought startsfrom the fundamental interests of the people, and is formed a comprehensivedevelopment theory gradually in the new great practice of reform and opening up.This thought is not only the important theoretical source, but also provides somescientific theoretical guidance for our country’s healthy, rapid and sustainabledevelopment.Admittedly, Deng Xiaoping’s power thought is very rich in content, but it iscontained in his theory and a reflection to guide the development of Chineseconstruction, rather than being proposed and displayed explicitly as a concept. Giventhis, it is very necessary to research Mr. Deng’s thought methodically andcomprehensively. On the basis of existing research results, this paper digs Mr. Deng’ssimilar statements about power thought, and exhibits the relationship between Mr.Deng’s power thoughts and Marxism classical writers’. By exploring the realisticbasis and summarizing the main content of Mr. Deng’s thought, this paper extracts thebasic characteristics, and concludes some enlightenment for our country’s socialistdevelopment from his power thought.This article is divided into five parts to study Deng Xiaoping’s power thoughtmethodically. Part one, the introduction, introduces the paper selection background,significance, realistic meaning as well as the relevant study of this problem inacademic world. Besides, the research idea, method and innovation are alsointroduced roughly in this part. Part two is about the formation of Mr. Deng’s powerthought. Starting from interpreting the concept of his power thought, this part focuseson the formation process of the power thought. The paper expounds that Mr. Deng’sthought inherits Marxism classical writers’ power thought. It is formed gradually after learning the experience and lessons of our country’s socialist construction, the drasticchange of Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, as well as some instances of constructingthe emerging industrialized countries successfully. The third part is about the maincontents of Mr. Deng’s power thought. In this part, the main content of this thought isdivided into four aspects, which are economic power, technological power, humanresource development, military power, and each aspect is analyzed in detail. Thefourth part is about the basic characteristics of Mr. Deng’s power thought. In this part,science, times, practicality and systemic are clarified as the four basic characteristicsof power thought. The fifth part is about the reality enlightenment of power thought.Combining the reality of today, this part briefly illustrates the enlightenment of powerthought about China’s socialist modernization construction. This paper pointed outthat our country should continue to promote the reform of political system andeconomic system, expand the opening up further, and persist in the strategy ofreinvigorating the country through science and education.
