The Guangdong branch of PetroChina is a typical representative of the companies engaging in the sales of the refined oil. In 1998, it is just a sales center with more than 10 people, but now, it has become the second largest sales company in China which has the largest sales volume and its assets worth 6,000,000,000 yuan. This dissertation states the developing course and the great achievements of the company and specifically sets forth its different strategies of the different phases in the competition of the Guangdong market by means of case analysis. And also it stated the severe situation and the problems faced with the company when China opened the refined oil market after its WTO entry.In the part of case analysis, It first analyzed the sales status quo and the developing trend of Guangdong's refined oil market, then made an analysis of the strategic environment, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Guangdong branch of PetroChina. Finally It analyzed the problems of the enterprise and made some proposals.
