The organizational structure of scientific institution in our country that has been formed over a long period of time is Line-Staff Organization. The direction of guiding is authority. Unreasonable organization models badly restrict the development of scientific institution. Based on introducing the main traditional organization model and completely analyzing the excellency and defects of them, this paper analyzes the trend of the evolvement of the organizational structure, and entirely analyzes the applications of several new representative organizational structure model in scientific institution. The advantage and limit of applying condition are analyzed of new organizational structure. The importance of innovative conception and strengthening basic establishments is brought forward.The main works and innovational points are as follows.Firstly, the particularity of the structure characteristic and management of scientific institution has been deeply studied in this paper. This is groundwork of discussing the structure applying in scientific institution. Three factors with organization static characteristic and organization dynamic characteristic and scientific research management are analyzed completely. The other particularity is also analyzed with resource and member and running in scientific institution. The main components is administration management in past management model in scientific institution for a long time and this model does not adapt to all-around innovation of science and technology organization and law of innovative activity.Secondly, applicability of Matrix organizational structure in scientific institution is put forward. Combining with the organizational character, the application is Matrix organizational structure in scientific institution is analyzed completely. Matrix organizational structure is effective in scientific institution because of solving the program of disjointedness between subject and item, and freely matrix structure effectively solves the program of different subject research cooperation. Subsequently, the disadvantage factors of Matrix organizational structure putting in practice are analyzed and the measures are put forward.Thirdly, the influence on scientific institution is studied by Network Organizational Structure. It is considered that the network organizational structure is significant to improve flexibility and agility of scientific institution. Combining with the organizational character, the idea is put forward that the network organizational structure is a good model to increase of efficiency and make the most of resource. Advice is put forward with three sides, concretely putting network in practice in scientific institution, changing the traditional conception and strengthening basic establishments.Fourthly, the revelation of virtual organizational structure to scientific institution is discussed in our country. It is pointed out that virtual organization is the trend of the development of scientific institution in our country. The influence of the application of virtual organizational structure in scientific institution is analyzed completely and the pattern which change the organizational structure to virtual organizational structure in scientific institution is put forward. It is demonstrate with cases and theory analyzing that it is the virtual center which will be the virtual organization form. Aiming at the virtual organizational structure design at present, the concrete measure of modify and supplement is put forward, and it is useful at present.Fifthly, it is discussed that the character on information flow in the organizational structure of an scientific institution, and three characteristics is summarized, like maturity, multiformity and opening. On the base of above analysis, entropy theory is used to discuss the quantitative analysis to organizational structure. The brief application of entropy theory in organizational structure is discussed. The Time Effect-Quality Model(TEQM) are applied to analyze the Order Degree of Organizational Structure in static state. Based on the discussion of the Organizational Structure dynamic character, the Transformation Entropy and Flexibility Degree of an Organizational Structure is put forward. This solve the problem that how to make a model and measure the flexibility of Organizational Structure. An example is used to prove the Matrix Structure is better than the functional institution. It is must considered that the ability of coming into contact with an emergency, and agility must be paid attention to in the designing structure of scientific institution.The development of knowledge economy and information technology requires the realization of information, innovation, and nimbleness in scientific institution. Based on the theoretical analysis and the times characteristic, the structure trend of scientific institution is forecasted in the future.
