Knowledge worker is the most valuable human resource for an enterprise and one of the core problems in human resource management is how to objectively and justly evaluate the knowledge worker through performance appraisalWith hammering out the actual problems facing the enterprises as the direct target, this article stresses the application of theories with Yangling Qinfeng Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. as its study object. The research has met the requirements of enterprise strategic planning, performance appraisal reform and future management policy exploration, having practical significance for Qinfeng Agri.The methods of determining nature and fixing quantity have been applied in this article. The diagnosis of the existing performance appraisal system of Qinfeng Agri. conducted on the basis of the theory of incentives, theories relating to knowledge worker and theories on performance appraisal and management has indicated that the group characteristics of the knowledge worker have not been given due attention in the performance appraisal, as a result, it is imperative to enact corresponding measures and establish the performance appraisal system for knowledge worker. Through mapping out the performance appraisal system and the guarantee measures for performance management, the performance appraisal system of Qinfeng Agri. has been put in place by and large. This article concludes after research that the principle, system, index and standard of appraisal are the basic components of performanceappraisal system. To ensure the smooth implementation of the performance appraisal system for knowledge worker, it is necessary for Qinfeng Agri. to set down performance management measures for performance interview, performance improvement and related systems.Combining the basic theory with the application theory and through exploring the performance appraisal system for knowledge worker, this article is an application study integrating the actual performance appraisal of the enterprise and its findings will serve as a reference for enterprises employing knowledge worker to conduct performance appraisal.
