When it comes to the knowledge economic times, the human capital has been transferred into the fatal factor for the enterprises to win the competition and also the human resource management. Compensation management is the most important part of the human resource management as well as the field concerned by the employers. From the view of modern HR management, besides the stimulation and the security, Compensation takes an active part in attracting and obtaining the high quality intellectuals and promoting to carry out the aim of the enterprise. To SOE, Compensation is a difficult matter to manage. This article comes from the project of designing compensation system of CY Corporation. As the member of this project, not only did I participate in the whole process, but also be in charge of the redesign of the new compensation system.Directed by the modern compensation theory, this article analyzes the present situation of CY Corporation, especially the problem in the compensation system. Have taken enough account of the enterprise' s developing status at present, The design went through the process of job analysis, job evaluation and competency model, which is hoped that could solve the problem the corporation faced as well as offer a compensation system for similar SOE.Anyway, it deserves to be mentioned, that in the job basedcompensation system, competency model is adopted to confirm employees' salary grade. By the connection of compensation and competency, the employees' performance will be corrected, which is contributed to achieve the goal of the corporation.
