In 21st century, the competitive environment of enterprises has been changed greatly. The new competitive environment is a challenge to the traditional management modes. Under the strong competitive pressure, enterprises have to reconsider their critical competitive factors, such as managerial mechanisms, business procedures and organization structures. "Value Chain Integration" gives a new angle of view to the strategists who want to help the enterprises to establish a sustained competitive edge.It may be inferred that the substance of value chain integration is a operating mode; the enterprise reconsider its value chain and industry's value system to find the binding site, look for the development trend of industry, optimize the core business procedures, low the cost of organization and operations, improve the comprehensive competitive capacity, connect the trans-enterprise business to achieve the no-slot joint in value system, by controlling and coordinating the information flow, material flow, cash flow, service flow and knowledge flow, so that the enterprise can accomplish the market opportunities better.From the angle of establish and keep the core competitive advantage, the author, with the whole and coordinate standpoint, analyzes the international competition environments which Chinese manufacture enterprises faced by using SWOT instrument, points out that an enterprise which wants to acquire and keep competitive advantage must integrate its value chain. The basic principle of value chain integration is to start with customers' needs; take a broad view in the whole industry value chain, beyond the border of one enterprise, use a dynamic view to look at value chain integrating process; aims at the existing problem in the value chain integrating process, such as, controlling the cost instead of formulate the strategy, lacking the trust to mechanism and coordinate mechanism with partners, and the mistakes in locating the main business of leading enterprise, etc., the author points out when the value transfers from upperstream to downstream in the value chain, the enterprise needs to expand the original business scope, relocating the strategic direction, participating in the management activity of upperstream or downstream; The thesis puts forward the principles and the steps in choosing the integration partners, the methods that build up trust mechanism and cooperation mechanism among partners; The thesis points out that to practice collaborative product commerce in the value chain can enhance the cooperative standard between enterprises; improve the core business procedure, so is to fit the business environment more flexible and provide full product information in its life cycle, achieve the customer order and launch the creative products more rapidly; Finally, the author indicates something that must be concerned, such as protecting the core capacity of enterprise,coordinating the goal of the partners, improving the management standards, and suspending the collaboration, discusses the great significance of modularization management for acquiring and keeping the competitive edges, then puts forward that modularization management will be the tendency of value chain management.The author advances the steps of value chain integration after made a SWOT analysis of Chinese enterprises, gives out a principle and steps of how to select partners, puts forward a method of how to build up trust mechanism and coordinate mechanism among partners. Then the treatise discusses the practice of collaborative product commerce in the value chain integration, and the tendency of modularization management.The treatise shows some theoretical and practical value for the enterprise to determine the core competitive power and from the sustained competitive edges through the realization of model of the management of the value chain.
