City is comprehensive description in the course of modernization. The journey of the implementation of China's reform and open policy is also the journey that Chinese cities act as an important player in the world. 21~st century is the era when cities develop and compete. In the time and in the tide for cities to seize the opportunity and make advancement, it is a problem deserving of study that how to make Wuhan more competitive and make others in the city economic group grow side by side.The process that the society becomes more and more commercialized will lead cities to an open platform where market exchange exists. Thus, city administrations who are not willing to be eliminated in the development will have to manage their cities with the idea of brand management and lead them grow toward brandization. And a system that treats cities not an administrative area but also a huge product must also be established.This discourse begins with the comparison between two brands, common products and cities. With reference to the idea of strategy management, the strategic processes of city brand creation are then brought forward. Then the processes of how to create Wuhan city's brand are explained in details from the third part of this discourse. The third part deals with the period of strategy preparation, which analyzes the micro, and also macro environment that Wuhan now faces. The fourth part deals with the period of strategy planning which conducts city positioning of Wuhan based upon circumstances analyses. And the last part deals with the execution of city brand strategy, which consists of image shaping, brand communication and management and control of the strategy processes.I believe that this discourse will make people attach more importance with the application of strategy idea and brand theory. In addition, this discourse will have important use for reference for the creation of city brand and also for the promotion of Wuhan's prestige brand.
