After being set free from the control of the government, the state-owned enterprises are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. On the one hand, the enterprises get more power to run business freely since the restriction of the authority was decreased a lot; on the other hand, they have to face more risks after being thrown into the markets full of severe competitions. To Wuji Chang, Wuhan Construction Machinery Plant, it is more challenge than opportunity. In the surrounding of market-oriented economy, more and more enterprises base their long-lasting existence and development on the human resource by employee training. Accordingly, Wuji Chang also takes some actions such as changing the former Personnel Office into the modern Human Resource Department as a sign of doing something in training. However, the new training mechanism hasn't come into being while the old one can't meet the demand of the new conditions. So, it's urgent to improve and establish a more effective training mechanism in the turning stage of the plant. In this paper, the author combines the relevant theory with specific details to analyze the training problems in Wuji Chang, and tries to find a better mechanism of training to promote the transition and development of the plant. After introducing the background of the plant, the author analyzes the features of the existed training mechanism, trying to find out the reason of its going from up to down. Then, according to the changing demands and the basic principles of training, the author explains the necessity of rebuilding a new training mechanism in the plant, what to train and how to train. At last, some factors which influence the introducing and carrying out of the training mechanism are analyzed and the countermeasures are suggested.
