Theoretical Study And Empirical Analysis On Industrial Clusters Competitiveness

The first part is theoretical study on industrial clusters competitiveness. The paper first makes retrospections and comments on factor viewpoint,configuration viewpoint and capability viewpoint of industrial clusters competitiveness,generalizes the definition of industrial clusters competitiveness. The article then gives a summary account on the economic theories of industrial clusters competitiveness's origin,based on the characteristics of industrial clusters and the dynamic change of competitive environment,the thesis profoundly analyzes industrial clusters competitiveness's origin from four new perspectives which include self-organization theory,shared resource,game theory and network configuration. The second part researches into the forming mechanism of industrial clusters competitiveness. Based on the characteristics of industrial clusters competitiveness and related theories of industrial clusters, the article respectively analyzes the driving factors of forming and enhancing industrial clusters competitiveness from two perspectives which include the inner forming mechanism and the external forming mechanism,aimed at providing theoretic guidance for increasing industrial clusters competitiveness.The inner forming mechanism comprises embeddedness mechanism,symbiosis and synergic mechanism,knowledge creating mechanism and technological innovation mechanism,the external forming mechanism comprises market driving mechanism,science and technology environment support mechanism,government decision support mechanism. The third part evaluates industrial clusters competitiveness. The article constructs the evaluation index system of industrial clusters competitiveness,discusses the evaluation model based on combination weighting approach and puts forward the evaluation procedure of industrial clusters competitiveness. According to the evaluation index system,the evaluation model and the evaluation procedure, people can compare the competitiveness of homogeneous industrial clusters,seek the reasons which make industrial clusters competitiveness weak and offers effective measures which are able to promote industrial clusters competitiveness. The fourth part is empirical analysis on electronic and telecommunication's equipment industrial clusters competitiveness. The paper first chooses Beijing electronic and telecommunication's equipment industrial clusters,Jiangsu electronic and telecommunication's equipment industrial clusters , Fujian electronic and telecommunication's equipment industrial clusters , Guangdong electronic and telecommunication's equipment industrial clusters,the whole country electronic and telecommunication's equipment industrial clusters,compares and analyzes their competitiveness from six aspects which include scale competitiveness,market competitiveness,innovation competitiveness,investment competitiveness,increase competitiveness,synthesize competitiveness from 1999 to 2003. The article then analyzes superior indexes and inferior indexes about Fujian electronic and telecommunication's equipment industrial clusters competitiveness. In the end, the thesis puts forward relevant strategies which include building the base for science and technology talents , enhancing technological innovation capability , optimizing industrial chains configuration , establishing excellent regional brand and strengthening venture capital system.
