Because the structure of enterprise applications is getting complicated, it is difficult to get them cooperate with each other and share the information. As a new technology to solve this problem, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) rose in 1990s. With linking the enterprise applications, it opens the door to cooperation. In this way we can make full use of the information resources and clear up the isolated islands of information.As new information technology, EAI is regarded as the fast develop part of IT in three or five years by IDC. Although the demands of EAI is heavy, Chinese CIOS put it in the future development. The reasons are its abstract conception, high price and little chance of success.Combine BPR and other IT thoughts with EAI, reengineer the business processes across departments, and eliminate the organizational repulsion to EAI, control the risk of EAI project.Based on the requirements of EAI practice and EAI development, we analyze the necessary of reengineering the business process before EAI project, and the affection of business processes across departments to EAI. After that, we come to the conclusion that result of BPR supports the EAI project, and it is possible to use the result. So we bring forward integrated scheme of BPR and EAI, and use a typical case to clarify its practicability.Finally, we summary the whole article, and vista the future development of EAI.
