The Study On Urbanization Of Wuwei City With The Restriction Of Water Resource

Wuwei is the typical Oasis city in Hexi corridor of Gansu province, having the typical features of water resource and eco-environment in arid area of northwest China. The development of city is badly short of water, and the relationship between the acceleration of urbanization and the scarcity of water resource is incompatible. There are many contradictions among urbanization, water resource and eco-environment. Analyzing the characteristics of Wuwei city firstly, the thesis want to find a feasible way to guiding the development of Wuwei city in order to fitting the restriction of water resource. This study takes theoretic study, investigation, quantum analysis, contrast into account on studying the urbanization of Wuwei city with the restriction of water resource from the point of theory study, case study, and countermeasure study.With the restriction of water resource, the characteristics of Wuwei city expansion give priority to the gross expanding, and the extent of the agricultural population transferring to the non-agricultural and land-use expansion is large. At the same time, it is also the main method of the expansion that high consumption comes along with low benefit, that is to say that the benefits of input and output of water is generally low.Summarizing the rule of water resources stress on urbanization of Wuwei city, with the restriction of gross water requirement threshold, water use structure and industry structure optimization threshold, and agricultural water reduction by 4.488 X 10~8m~3 with a speed of 1.07%, the proportion of ecological water not less than 10%,we forecast that the urbanization level threshold of Wuwei city should be reach 52.10% in 2030.By analyzing the ecological effect during urbanization process of Wuwei city, We think that the city is still at the resisting stage between eco-environment and urbanization, during this stage, the change of eco-environment will fluctuate un steadily. By virtue of this, the thesis set up the dynamic wanning system for urbanization process.Finally, on the basis of theoretic study and case study, following the principle of saving water, sustainable development, combining the benefit of economy, society and eco-environment, the thesis put forward the countermeasure to guiding the development of Wuwei city.
