Strategy Of Logistics Industry In China Based On Cluster Theory

Logistics industry now plays a more and more important role in the economic system. Since the 1970. the logistics industry has made great progress in China. However, there are still some problems in the logistics industry, such as resource waste, regulation restriction, elite scarce, technology out of time. Following the entering of WTO, the demotic market will further be expanded, and the pressure on logistics industry of China will be heavier. A new strategy is needed to guide the Great -leap - forward development of logistics industry in China. Cluster strategy is that kind of powerful tool., which can do it. Cluster theory is not only an important policy tool to direct the local development and innovation, but also a Meso-economics thought. I think that logistics cluster strategy can solve the problems in logistics industry and finally result in great success.As logistics cluster is a brand-new concept, so the first and the most difficult task is to clarify the term, and according to the status quo of logistics industry in China, our final mission is to expatiate the significance , the steps and some other interrelated term of the applications of logistics cluster strategy. This paper includes five chapters. Chapter one is literature review, from the nature of strategy to the cluster theory , and to the logistics theory and logistics strategy. Chapter two will give detailed explanation of the term "logistics cluster ". Chapter three is the empirical research including the East Midlands of UK, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Taiwan province. Chapter four analyzed the status quo of logistics industry in China, including the characteristics, problems and the influence of entering WTO. The last chapter demonstrated how to solve the problems in logistics cluster in China by the logistics cluster strategy and the steps and some other interrelated term of the applications of logistics cluster strategy in China.
