The Investigation And Analysis Of Performance Appraisal System In Petrochemical Works

Performance management is an important means used to make the company achieve its aims, build competitive edge, and execute strategy. But in many corporations, this has been a hot potato, which has puzzled the supervisor and makes stuff uneasy. And what is more, Human resource management is also at a loss how to do. To build a performance management system is far away from a piece of cake, it is a system engineering. All corporations must set up valid performance management systems, which are suitable for them. The reason why performance appraisal is very important is that it provides feedback information for every aspect of human resource management. It is the essential point of the whole system and links tightly with other aspects. This thesis mainly studies how to establish and operate the performance appraisal system of the petrochemical works. Firstly, it gives the current performance appraisal system in a state-owned petrochemical works. Secondly, the questionnaire is used to investigate and analysis the problems and causes in the operation process of the appraisal system . Based on the above analysis, a new performance appraisal system and an operation model are designed and enforced. Under the guidance of scientific Human Resource Management theory and on a basis of the job analysis, the paper has advanced the performance standard and concrete evaluation scheme. The new system is established and lays stress on the development of employee talent and the feedback of the evaluation result. The main purpose of this paper is to establish a scientific and practical performance evaluation system which reflects the bilateral target of company and the employee, the "people oriented"administration thought could be introduced into the Human Resource Management.
