Supplier Management Based On Supply Chain Management

With the impact of development in supply chain management, the relationship between purchasers and suppliers has become interdependently cooperative. As an important part of supply chain, the management of suppliers runs to all aspects of suppliers'business not only the material inspection. The quality management system is the weakness of supplier's management, because some cannot build up it according to the requirements of SCM's development. With analysis of the research fruits of other scholars and analysis of the supplier management methods at present, this paper introduce the feature and significance of supplier management based on the ideology of supply chain and stress especially on the quality management of suppliers. Furthermore ,this paper summarize the assuring ways which were based on the traditional inspection of supply and the modes how suppliers built up ISO9000. Eventually, with analysis of the actual case of the company the writer work for and the current ways, this paper put forward a rational layout on suppliers'management, which is concluded from 4 aspects as the instruction, communication, assessment and auditing of suppliers. The supplier's assessment system is the rule how to evaluate and authorize the qualified suppliers based on their basic information and products'introduction. In this paper, a reasonable way has been educed to set up such a system which could instruct suppliers to build up their quality management system. With it, they can clarify their responsibility on quality control and know how to use the statistical skills in process control.
