Economic Analysis Of The Relationship Between Change Of Industrial Structure And Urbanization

Since the reform and opening up, the industrial structure of China made up great change, taking agriculture as the core changes into relying mainly on secondary industry progressively. From 1978 to 2003 the urbanization rose to 40.53% from 17.92%. During the change of industry structure and urbanization singly, they interact through direct and indirect way. Now the urbanization of our country is entering the rapid developing stage, as the industrial structure is changing fast and the urbanization is developing with higher speed, the study on the relationship between the two has already seemed important. Understand the relationship between the two, we can give consideration to the accompanying development of them. While advancing the urbanization process, accelerate the change of the industrial structure at the same time; While the industrial structure changes, accelerate the paces of the urbanization.This study is focus on the way they interact and influence factor between the change of industrial structure and urbanization, and the behavior during different developing stage, meanwhile investigate the related development of the industry structure change and urbanization of China on this basis. The frame of this thesis is launched according to the above-mentioned points too. Chapter one is introduction, propose the question of relationship between industry structure change and urbanization. Chapter two reviews relevant research literatures. Chapter three studies the theoretical problem with the relationship between change of industrial structure and urbanization. Change of industrial structure and urbanization interact though direct and indirect way, and during every stage of urbanization developing, the related way and degree between the two is different. In chapter four we prove the above-mentioned theoretical questions with econometric methods and cases. On the basis of the theoretical analysis and case study, for the related development of industrial structure change and urbanization of China, chapter five investigate the generality and particularity of them, and propose some policy recommendations.
