In the performance practice, functionary performance has been paid whileorganization objective is overlooked. Moreover performance management is oftendisplaced with performance appraisal. As a result, PM practice falls into formalism,and can't work. The reason is that performance management (PM) and strategy arenot linked.Aiming at the problem that how to link performance management with strategy,theories of strategic management, strategic human resources management andperformance management were used. And following work has been done:Firstly on the foundation of indignation of large nation-owned enterprise inChina Analyzed the situation and problems at present in performance management oflarge and middle national-owned enterprises;The relation between performancemanagement and strategic management were analyzed .So it is necessary to set upstrategy-oriented performance management model;The elements and theirrelationship strategy-oriented performance management model were studied andshown in the thesis;The strategy-oriented PM model was set up on the basis offormer theory of comprehensive performance management;In this thesis ,theactualization methods of key elements of this model were studied , Includingperformance of objective planning , individual development plan set-up , performancedoing and monitoring , performance appraisal , performance feedback , reward andperformance obstacle analysis . So the guidance is given for the practice of thestrategy-oriented performance management. When the performance objective wasplaned ,MBO,BSC,KPI were used integrated . According to the sequence oforganization department individual, the organization strategy objectives isdecomposed and balance to operable goals, then the action of individual and teamwas linked with strategy tightly. In order that strategy will to be realized. The practicecondition of strategy-oriented performance management was probed into.That the strategy-oriented performance management model can contribute thelink of performance management with strategy was validated. The model can give theidea and the method guidance for the company to apply the effective performancemanagement.
