The modern management theory of human-oriented has already become the common understanding of the current business and management circles. It is the key point for enterprises who desire to keep the competition advantage in the fierce market environment to attract, keep and motivate the staff and try to make them become a team with lasting fighting capacity. As a new faction of human-oriented theory, Gallup's positive psychology claims working happily, breaking regulation and working out superiority. The new idea has made great success in western business circles, and it is also becoming a trend of development in China.Based on the theoretical and practical sense of studying working happily, this research tries to choose employee's work happiness as the object. By document summary and theory study, this research tries to make sure of the definition and structure of work happiness, dissect the internal relationship of structure, and analyze the factors which may affect work happiness. By empirical study, it is involved in the measurement of work happiness, the level of work happiness of Chinese white-collar employee. Based on the empirical study and according to the current idea of human resource management, it puts forward some methods to help the staff work happily.By theoretical study, this research gives the definition of work happiness that refers to the positive emotional experience in working place, emotionally and cognitively positive appraisal about work, and the ability of getting and keeping positive emotion. Work happiness includes three levels of meaning: firstly, it is one of the basic positive emotions which the individual experiences in working place and it brings the individual psychological pleasure. Secondly, it is people's emotionally and cognitively positive appraisal about work. Thirdly, work happiness shows people's emotional intelligence with work. The related factors which affect work happiness come from personal factors and organizational ones.According to empirical analysis, some important conclusions have been found as follows:1. The factors which have positive correlation with work happiness are lifehappiness, positive emotion, high score of leader's psychoticism, values of emphasizing ability and efficiency, behavior methods of honest and tolerance, job motivation of personal development, and the effective satisfaction of job integration.2. The factors which have positive correlation with work happiness are negative emotion, values of self-esteem and success sense, job motivation of interpersonal relationship and job condition, and the job satisfaction of benefits.3. Among the 11 factors involved in regression, value factors have impact on the cognitive parts of subjective well-being level of work happiness, and furthermore affect the pleasant emotional experience level of work happiness, which is presented directly on the measurement of work happiness. The personalities of employee and leader can be the factors that organizations can use them intervene with the emotional intelligence level of work happiness.
