With the constant promotion of the process of integration of global economy, as the terminal station of sales, retailing also incorporated this process progressively, have formed the turbulent internationalized tide. Retail enterprises in many countries will face competition no only from domestic enterprises but also from foreign enterprises. China has totally open retailing for foreign investors on 21st December. Foreign companies can enter china market without any limit of areas and amounts of investment. This means china's retailing will face more violent international completion. However, our countries retailing will face heavy shock because the strength gap between the domestic and foreign companies.Although scholars have different opinions on foreign retailers impacting on china' retailing, by analyzing development of domestic and foreign retailing, we find that it is uncontroversial fact that foreign retailers. Therefore, the research of china' retailing how to counter international competition become very practically meaningful.By taking qualitative and quantitative methods, exemplification and comparison, this thesis conducts a thorough analysis on the general situation of China's retailing, the development of foreign and domestic retailing enterprises in China, and further puts forward suggestions and countermeasures on how to develop China's retailing industry in the Present time.Besides the preface, this paper has four parts.The first part is a summary of retailing. First, by analyzing retailing' definition, we can realize that the importance of retailing;Second, this thesis analyses that internationalization is the inevitable tend of retailing development, and find out some theories about china' retailing how to counter international competition .These theories is theory foundation of the thesis' conception.The second part is the importance of the thesis. First, the thesis simply introduce the reason of foreign retailers investing in china and the opening history of china's retailing;second, it analyzes the development condition of domestic and foreign retailing;third, it look into foreign retailers further development and evaluate the negative effect of foreign retail enterprises.The third part plays a part in connecting preceding part and later part. By the analysis of preceding part, the thesis analyzes the problems of china's retailing andthe reasons of these problems. It could be a reference to our countermeasures.The last part is the countermeasure of china's retailing development. Base on the preceding part, the part tires to prove some suggestions for China's retailing to counter international competition.
