Phosphorus is a most important mineral resource for China. Since it isvery difficult to recycle, the consumption of phosphorite will cause theirreversible losing of our limited mineral resources. The use of many kinds ofphosphors products also generates severe environment problems, especiallyfor water pollution. Sustainable development is development that meets theneeds of the present without compromising the ability of future generations tomeet their own needs, and it can realize both the people and naturedeveloping harmonious together. Based on the theories and methods ofchemical engineering, industrial ecology and system engineering, the presentstatus of Chinese phosphorus industry and the result of applying circulareconomy strategies on it are analyzed and studied. The dissertation mainlyincludes three parts as follows. 1. Introduce the eco-industrial park planning of Guohua phosphorusIndustry Corporation to show the real practice and the results of circulareconomy on phosphorus industry.2. According the system engineering methodology, from the whole lifecycle of phosphorus industry, model the quantificational static material flowmodel of Chinese phosphorus industry using the material flow analysismethod and the five step modeling method. Subsequently, simulate andquantificationally investigate the Chinese phosphorus industry system by thismodel, including the study of system state in 2002, the mutual relations andeffects of some issues from different system parts, and the IOA analysis onthe cycle of phosphorus element. Furthermore, six improvement schemes areproposed based on the analyzed results above-mentioned. Quantificationalresults are obtained and compared when these schemes are applied.3. In order to embody both the changing trends of all system factorswith the time continuing and the mutual system parts relation, using the graysystem theory to ameliorate the static state model and obtain the dynamicmodels of Chinese phosphorus industry. An improved approach of treatingoriginal data sequence is proposed. Furthermore, the present status and theresults of applying the sustainable schemes on the system are dynamicallysimulated and quantificationally studied by those dynamic models. Finally,the results of dynamic scenario simulations are summarized in order to drawthe conclusion and guide the practice.
