Research On The Influence Of High-tech In Regional Economic Growth

In the competition for the new structure of the world in the 21th century, it is become one of the most urgent affairs for China how to accelerate her economic growth and improve her economic power. Facing the new technique revolution wave tide of the fast fierce development, high-tech and its industrialization have become one of the important force to boost the economy growth, as well as the main index to decide the integrative competition of a country or territory. However, now economics is influenced more and more deeply by high-techs, the models, which are used to estimate the contribution of the technological progress to economic growth in neoclassical economics, can't effectively explain some certain objects, such as China, which lies in the lower degree of industrialization and has been deeply affected by the high-techs. So we need a new method to resolve this problem. This paper focuses on the contribution of high-tech to regional economic growth. Hence, it's of great-theoretic and realistic meaning to analyze the contribution of high-tech to regional economic in China.In order to study on the high-tech effect on the regional economic growth, the thesis looks back integration of theory of economic growth promoted by the technical advances, and especially analyses the impaction's style and measure methodology of technology of technical advance's impaction in economic growth. This part introduce all kinds of principal viewpoint of economic growth, the technical advances have impaction in the economic growth and theoretical model simply.According to the recognize of complication of course of high-tech effect on the regional economic growth, firstly, the thesis analyses and studies the course of technical advances systimetically in this part, including provision and demand of technological outcome, the structural model of system of them, microscopic economics principle, momentum mechanism of technical conversion, the condition of achievement, and high-tech industrialization. Then we can understand the technical advances egulation of movement, source of momentum and the condition of acheivement from macro- to micro-economic, inner-reason to exo-renson.Based on Feder's model and the hypothesis the difference the marginal factor productivities between high-tech and non-high-tech, there is a new model used to estimate the contribution of high-tech to regional economic growth. This model has three functions: estimating the contribution of high-tech to regional economic growth;estimating the direct and indirect contribution of high-tech to regional economic growth;estimating the ratio of marginal factorproductives in the two sectors. Meanwhile this model also can be used to study the action way and character of high-tech to economic growth in different high-tech developing periods to support policies and measures about high-tech.At the end of this thesis, to verify the hypothesis of the model, there is substantial evidence about estimating the contribution of high-tech in DaLian high-tech district to DaLian economic growth. I get the estimation model by collecting data and imitatitating with the Eviews soft. The estimation proves the hypothesis of the model and supports the policies of developing high-tech in DaLian.
