Study On Relationship Between Tourism Resources Exploitation And Poverty Alleviation In Gansu Province

Backward economy often twins with fragile ecology.The eco-environmental vulnerabilities makes seriously roughly the scope and strength of economic activities, and causes the regional poverty problem to a degree. Therefore, on condition that the eco-environment had not been devastated, the reasonable exploitation and utilization of the tourism resources with comparative advantage becomes the valid path that increases income and resolves poverty problem in the region. However, as an important subject of the tour economic, the regional poverty alleviation has not been treated as the nuclear problem of tourism resources exploitation. At the same time, tourism exploitation usually aims at working hard to obtain the most economic income, and the economic benefits of the poor population and the potential of the development opportunity are neglected seriously, even the poor population that is short of technique and funds is excluded out of tourism activities.As an inland province of northwest China, Gansu Province has fragile eco-evironment, backward social economy and plentiful tourism resources. Base on in-depth study on tourism development and management, it will have the important theory value and realistic meaning to probe into the relationship between tourism exploitation and regional poverty alleviation.This thesis elaborates the development of tourism exploitation study both here and abroad firstly. Secondly the basic state of tourism resources in Gansu Province is analyzed by qualitative and quantitative methods, and the history, status characteristic and existing problems are studied comprehensively. Base on comprehensive analysis on the poverty problem in Gansu Province, we consider that tourism exploitation has comparative advantagein poverty alleviation and Pro-Poor Tourism strategy in favor of poor people development should be better adapted here. Taking Gannan Tibet Autonomous State of Gansu Province as a case, the thesis analyzes effect of tourism exploitation and residents' perception, fatherly probe into the relationship between Pro-Poor Tourism and poverty alleviation in the fragile eco-economy area in Gansu Province.Studied comprehensively the tourism resources exploitation in Gansu province, we understand deeply in characteristic, distributing and development potential of tourism resources. Analyzed the relationship between tourism exploitation and economy development in the case, the thesis elaborates interaction of tourism industry and poverty problem in the fragile eco-economy area. The approach of regulating and controlling eco-economy system and the optimized model of tourism development and management are presented, in order to offer scientific foundation for formulating the regional eco-economy policy.
