The developing of tourism and the built of the socialistic market economy system, the evaluation of the tourism resources is not qualitative description, people hope to quantificationally evaluate.Therefore, this paper set up a value classifying system for Kongtong Mountain's tourism resources on some value classifying system and assessing methods about environment resources, natural resources, biological diversity and tourism resources and evaluated the tourism value and the intrinsic value.Firstly, the paper introduce the physical geographical characteristic and tourism resources and analyze the domestic tourism markets of Kongtong Mountain. The average income and school age of Kongtong Mountain tourists are higher, the age is mostly middle and young people, the profession is mostly officials, managers, students and teachers. The tourist markets of Kongtong Mountain is dispersive comparatively.Secondly, the paper set up the value classifying system of Kongtong Mountain. Commonly tourism resources can be divided into two, extrinsic value and intrinsic value. Tourism value, scientific research value, historic culture and education value, art value and ecosystem services value are the embodiment of extrinsic values. The intrinsic values are composed of existence value, bequest value and option value. The total values of tourism resources should be equal to the sum of the various types values.Finally, the paper using TCM (Travel Cost Method) to evaluate the tourism values, CVM (Contingent Valuation Method) to evaluate the intrinsic values. We also make analysis about the factors' effects to tourists' WTP (Willing to Pay) by Cross-tabulation and Chi-Square methods. At last we come to these conclusions: in 2004, the tourism value of Kongtong Mountain is $216,879,400, the intrinsic value is $161,900,800.
