Research On The Economic Integration Development Of Wuhan Megalopolis

The emergence of Megalopolis is one of the most important tendencies of the world regional economy and the urbanization development. In our country, along with the changeable relations between the city and the region, the high speed-growth of the region economy and the urbanization-course speeding up, the megalopolis also enters a fast-developing period. The megalopolis becomes the momentous propeller which impels the regional economy development. Wuhan megalopolis is the middle node which can connect the Zhujiang River Delta, the Yangtze River delta, the Bohai Bay region and the west economic zone. Now it has already formed the most crowded and biggest city circle of the middle reach of the Yangtze River. Wuhan megalopolis is not only the area of industry and the element of production denseness in Hubei Province, but also one of the most potential region in the mid-west areas.Thus this article takes Wuhan megalopolis as research object. It mainly discusses the present situation of economic integration, proposes the impetus mechanisms which can drive the economic integration and the megalopolis function localization. It takes Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation and Wuhan Zhongbai Group Co.,Ltd as the case research in order to prove that the enterprise plays a dominant role in impelling the economic integration process.The content of this thesis consists of seven parts.
