The rapid development of Chinese tourist industry depends heavily on its historical culture resource. From 1980s, the culture tourism in China began to develop quickly. Officers in many districts in China put forward to boost up the comprehensive strength of the culture tourism by cultivating its core competitive power. But all of them didn't explain the content of the core competitive power. So it always lacked of maneuverability when these districts developed their culture tourism. The thesis tried to put forward a method to analyze core competitive power of regional culture tourism in order to promote the development of regional culture tourism.Shaoxing is not only one of the Chinese historic cities, but also the author's hometown. So the thesis took Shaoxing as an example to study. The thesis applied management knowledge to analyze the present status of Shaoxing culture tourism. Then it identified the core competitive power of Shaoxing culture tourism on the basic of evaluating the internal and outer factors for the development of Shaoxing culture tourism. Combined the theory of industry core competitive power with regional culture, the thesis revealed that the core competitive power was the developed capability of tourist products with yue culture. According to the attributes of industry core competitive power, the thesis established an index system for the core competitive power .By this index system, the thesis evaluated the present core competitive of Shaoxing culture tourism. T hen the thesis found out its weak links and provided some countermeasures to improve the core competitive power.By the analysis of Shaoxing culture tourism, the thesis first put out a method for researching regional culture tourism. It supplied the content of the research on regional culture tourism, and provided a new research angle in this filed. What's more, the results of the study will help department concerned to develop Shaoxing culture tourism. It hopes that this method can also be helpful for improving core competitive power of culture tourism in other districts.
