With the development of automatic weather stations, the stability of meteorological data transmission(including the arrival rate, timely rate and bit error rate) has become increasingly demanding, especially in the area of terrestrial signals not be overwritten or remote signal instability. How to efficiently transfer data to the Meteorological Information Center is an urgent problem to resolve. With the message communication function of Beidou satellite, this thesis design a terminal that is suitable in meteorological industry, and realizes the real time transmission of meteorological observation data, and ensures the data transmission in timeliness, reliability and confidentiality. In this thesis, the design of meteorological data transmission terminal has functions as follows:has the function of Beidou short message communication,the Beidou timing, the Beidou Positioning; to provide meteorological data acquisition and processing functions;to provide remote parameter setting and status query function, to manage remote devices to facilitate; combining with the central station software, has data merging, error frame retransmission, frame dropping makeup and other functions; with a variety of energy-saving mode, to achieve low power consumption under different conditions,to be suitable the field working environment.This thesis first introduces the characteristics and present situation of Beidou satellite navigation system; secondly the thesis discusses the structure and terminal software and hardware scheme of the data transmission system; discusses the specific circuit modules, the key functions of the system; and then this thesis introduces the application of the terminal.From the actual deployment of the terminal equipment, performance stability, low power consumption, and can use solar power. As main chain or backup link in different kinds of weather stations, transmissioning data stably, the success rate is high, and it solves the problem of meteorological data transmission in remote areas. Believe that through a detailed description of this paper,to help the relevant compass application industry to design the industry’s requirements of the Beidou communications terminal.
