Study On Characteristic Of Pressure-sensitive Adhesive Paint For Curtain Coat

The PSA label is also a fast-growing industry in the specialty papermaterial.The emulsion PSA became the main PSA with the development of the PSA emulsiontechnology. It is also because the advantages of safety, environmental protection in the coatingemulsion adhesive process. For higher efficiency, the manufactory use more high speedcoating equipment. Curtain coat is very fit for the adhesive coat and is widely used in this area.In this article by learning the theory of curtain coat and technical demand for paint how toimprove the curtain coating capability of PSA emulsion is studied.The key technology of Curtain coat is a stable curtain and a good contact area in theprocess of curtain impact the running base material. For Curtain coater, there are rare studiesin china. In this article how to improve the stability is studied by preparing different surfacetension PSA emulsion paint and study the difference of using two different type surface agents.In the impact area “heel” phenomenon is easily happened for bad paint. It is improved thatlower viscosity in high shear rate causes this phenomenon. The studies show: higher solidcontent and bigger size of emulsion particle is very useful to improve viscosity in high shearrate and solve the “heel” problem. But it is also showed that there is no good for usingRheological agent to improve viscosity in high shear rate of the PSA emulsion paint.
